Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
    2. Operate the Left Door Lock Switch in all positions several times.
    3. Cycle the ignition from on to off.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

      Does the scan tool display B1934-DRIVER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT STUCK?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED

    1. With the scan tool, erase DTC's.
    2. Disconnect the Left Door Lock Switch connector.
    3. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

      Does the scan tool display B1934-DRIVER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT STUCK?

      No 

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3
  3. (P697) LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT PARTIAL SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Cluster C2 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P697) Left Door Lock Switch MUX circuit.

      Is the resistance below 10,000.0 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
