Battery Retainer - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable or remote negative battery post.
2. On gasoline engine vehicles, remove the air cleaner housing Air Cleaner Body - Removal.
3. On diesel engine equipped vehicles, remove the front passengers seat, Seat - Removal.
4. Remove the battery hold down retaining bolt(s).
5. Remove the battery hold down from the vehicle.
