Camshaft Seal(s) - Installation

INSTALLATION










1. Shaft seal surface must be free of varnish, dirt or nicks. Polish with 400 grit paper if necessary.
2. Install camshaft seals into cylinder head using Camshaft Seal Installer MD-998306 (1) until flush with head.





3. Install timing belt rear coverEngine Timing Cover(s) - Installation.
4. Install camshaft sprockets. Hold each sprocket with Camshaft Sprocket Holder 6847 (1) and tighten center bolt to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).
5. Install timing belt and front covers Timing Belt & Sprockets - Installation Engine Timing Cover(s) - Installation.
