- Clean all sealing surfaces.
- Install water pump (1) and gasket. Tighten mounting bolts to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.).
- Install timing chain guides and timing chain. Refer to Engine/Valve Timing/CHAIN and SPROCKETS, Timing - Installation .
- Install the accessory drive belts. See Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Installation .
- Install the radiator fan assembly. See Cooling/Engine/FAN, Cooling - Installation .
- Evacuate air and fill cooling system. For evacuating air, see Cooling/Engine/PUMP, Water - Standard Procedure . For filling cooling system, see Standard Procedure .
- Check cooling system for leaks. See Cooling - Diagnosis and Testing .
