Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
    2. Operate the Passenger Door Lock Switch in all positions several times.
    3. Turn the ignition on and wait 30 seconds.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display B1809-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT STUCK UNLOCK?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED

    1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    2. Disconnect the Passenger Express Window/Door Lock Switch connector.
    3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display B1809-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT STUCK UNLOCK?

      No 

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3
  3. (G160) PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Cluster C1 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (G160) Passenger Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.

      Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  4
  4. (G160) PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO (P37) PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH RETURN CIRCUIT

    1. Disconnect the Cluster C2 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance between the (G160) Passenger Door Lock Switch Mux circuit and the (P37) Passenger Door Lock Switch Return circuit.

      Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
