2.4L Turbo

Install starter. See Fig 1.
Install the lower starter bolt and tighten bolt to 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.).
Connect the positive battery cable and tighten nut to 10 N.m (90 in. lbs.).

Connect and lock the solenoid electrical connector.

1 - TRANSAXLE

2 - STRUCTURAL COLLAR

3 - OIL PAN

4 - BENDING STRUT

Install the Structural Collar, (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/STRUCTURAL COVER - INSTALLATION) . See Fig 2.

1 - Lower Inner Cooler Tube

2 - Power Steering Lines

3 - Mounting Studs

Locate the power steering lines.

Install the studs that hold the power steering lines and tighten to 61 N.m (45 ft. lbs.). See Fig 3.

2 - Power Steering Line Brackets

3 - Studs

Tighten nuts that hold the inner cooler lower tube. See Fig 4.

Install the inner cooler lower hose to the inner cooler and tighten clamp. See Fig 5.

Lower vehicle.
Pushing the inner cooler hose up and out of the way and install the upper starter bolt and ground wire and tighten bolt to 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.). See Fig 6.
Install the air cleaner box.
Tighten air cleaner hose clamp.

Connect the negative battery cable. See Fig 7.
