Fuel Injector: Installation: 1.6L

Apply a light coating of clean engine oil to the upper O-ring.
Install injector in cup on fuel rail.
Install retaining clip.
Apply a light coating of clean engine oil to the O-ring on the nozzle end of each injector.
Insert fuel injector nozzles into openings in lower intake manifold. Seat the injectors in place. Tighten fuel rail mounting bolts to 22.5 N.m +/- 3 N.m (200+/-30 in. lbs.).

1 - FUEL INJECTOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR

2 - WIRING HARNESS
Attach electrical connectors to fuel injectors (2) (Refer to FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL INJECTION/FUEL INJECTOR - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .

Connect fuel supply tube to fuel rail (Refer to FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL DELIVERY/QUICK CONNECT FITTING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
Install the wiring harness to the fuel rail brackets.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Use the scan tool ASD Fuel System Test to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks.
Install air cleaner assembly cover.
