Standard Procedure - Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure

- Raise and support the vehicle.
- With vehicle on a hoist, disconnect the fuel pump module harness connector.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Start and run engine until it stalls.
- Attempt restarting engine until it will no longer run.
- Turn ignition key to OFF position.
- Return fuel pump relay to PDC.
- One or more Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) may have been stored in PCM memory due to fuel pump relay removal. The DRB III® scan tool must be used to erase a DTC.
