Section 79 (Interior & Exterior (1 Of 2)): Hood: Latch: Removal

Open and support the hood.
Mark the location of the hood latch (2) on the upper radiator support (1) with a grease pencil or other suitable device to provide reference marks for reinstallation.
Remove the two stud bolts (3) that secure the hood latch to upper radiator support.

Remove the hood latch (2) from the upper radiator support to gain access to the hood latch release cable (1).
Remove the cable housing from the latch and disconnect the cable ball from the lever and remove the latch.
