Assembly-Wire Harness: Removal

  1. Position the convertible top in the raised position.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion (Refer to BODY/SEATS/CUSHION-REAR - REMOVAL) .
  3. Remove the left interior quarter trim panel (Refer to BODY/INTERIOR/TRIM-REAR QUARTER PANEL - REMOVAL) .
  4. Remove the rear seat back (Refer to BODY/SEATS/SEAT BACK-REAR - REMOVAL) .
  5. Remove the push-pins (1) that secure the convertible top well (2) to the rear seat back panel (3) and body (4) and remove the well liner.

  6. Remove the protective cover (3) from the top of the hydraulic pump/motor assembly (4) located on the shelf panel (2).

  7. Disconnect the wire connector for the pump motor (1).
  8. Remove the three retaining clips that secure the convertible top wire harness (3) and relay (2) to the body.

  9. Disconnect the two wire harness connectors from the rear window defogger terminals and route the defogger wire harness lead (1) through the wire slings.
  10. Disconnect the convertible top wire harness connector (2) from the body wire harness (3) located on the left side of the vehicle and remove the convertible top wire harness.
