Resistor-Blower Motor: Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The blower motor resistor is mounted to the top of the dash panel in the engine compartment. The blower motor resistor consists of a molded plastic mounting plate (1) with an integral wire connector receptacle (2). Concealed behind the mounting plate are coiled resistor wires (3) contained within a protective stamped steel cage (4) with two integral retaining tabs (5). There are two different blower motor resistors depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with A/C or not.
