Jet-Oil 2.4L Turbo: Installation

1 - OIL JET

2 - O-RING

Inspect oil jet o-ring (2). See Fig 1.
Lightly coat o-ring (2) with clean engine oil.

Push oil jet (1) into engine block until it is fully seated.

CAUTION: Ensure oil jet is fully seated in engine block before installing fastener. Do Not use the oil jet fastener to draw the oil jet into the engine block. Damage to oil jet may occur.

1 - FASTENER - 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.)

2 - OIL JET

3 - ENGINE BLOCK

4 - CYLINDER WALL

Install oil jet fastener (1). Torque fastener to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.). See Figure.
Install crankshaft (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE BLOCK/CRANKSHAFT - INSTALLATION) .
