Standard Procedure - Crankshaft End Play

Mount a dial indicator (2) to front of engine, locating probe on nose of the crankshaft (1). See Fig 1.
Move crankshaft (1) all the way to the rear of its travel.
Zero the dial indicator (2).
Move crankshaft (1) all the way to the front of its travel and read the dial indicator (2). For crankshaft specifications (Refer to ENGINE - SPECIFICATIONS) .
