Bracket-Engine Mount: Installation

1 - RIGHT ENGINE MOUNT BRACKET
  1. Install right engine mount bracket (1). Hand start all fasteners.

    Torque M10 bolts to 68 N.m (50 ft. lbs.).

    Torque M12 studs to 118 N.m (87 ft. lbs.).

  2. Lower engine enough to install right engine mount through bolt (1).
    CAUTION: Failure to hand start right engine mount through bolt could result engine damage and or engine mount failure.
  3. Install and hand start right engine mount through bolt (1). Torque bolt to 118 N.m (87 ft. lbs.).
  4. Install access cover in right side frame rail.
  5. Remove floor jack and wooden block.
  6. Raise vehicle on hoist.
  7. Install lower torque strut (6) (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE MOUNTING/TORQUE STRUT - INSTALLATION)  .

    1 - RIGHT MOUNT BOLT ACCESS PLUG
    2 - FASCIA
    3 - SPLASH SHIELD
    4 - CRANKSHAFT BOLT ACCESS PLUG
  8. Install accessory drive belt splash shield (3).
  9. Install right front wheel.
  10. Lower vehicle.
  11. Install fastener securing power steering return line to right engine mount bracket.
  12. Install fasteners securing power steering reservoir bracket to right engine mount bracket.

  13. Install upper torque strut (4) (Refer to ENGINE/ENGINE MOUNTING/TORQUE STRUT - INSTALLATION)  .
