Section 7 (Differential & Driveline): Shaft-Propeller: Bearing-Center: Installation

- Install propeller shaft rear segment into press, supported on joint yoke (3).
- Install bearing assembly (2) as shown in Fig 1.
- Using Tool C-4735-1 (1), press bearing assembly (2) onto shaft.
- Remove propeller shaft from press.
- Install boot (1) to rear shaft segment.
NOTE: To address propeller shaft imbalance concerns, the propeller shaft spline interface has a "skip-tooth" design allowing only one possible assembly orientation.
- Align index marks placed upon disassembly and install front segment (1) to rear segment.
- Install boot (2) to front segment, seating boot into groove (3).
- Install propeller shaft into vehicle.
