Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on, engine off.
    2. Clear all TIPM DTCs.
    3. With foot on brake, place the gear selector into reverse.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool read: B1668-REVERSE LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go To step  2

      No 

  2. BACKUP LAMP 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Inspect the Backup Lamp assembly for an open condition.

      Is the inoperative bulb OK?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3

      No 

  3. TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the TIPM C3 harness connector.
    3. Measure the voltage between (L1) Backup Lamps Control circuit and ground.

      Is there any voltage present?

      Yes 

      No
