Diagnostic Test

  1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Clear all Cluster DTCs.
    3. Turn the Courtesy Lamps on.
    4. With the Scan Tool, read the Cluster DTCs.

      Does the Scan Tool read: B161B-COURTESY/DOME LAMP OUTPUT CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. (M24) COURTESY LAMPS DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Disconnect the Instrument Cluster C3 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the (M24) Courtesy Lamp Driver circuit to ground.

      Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
