Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTC's
    3. Move the seat switch in the horizontal position three times.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

      Does the scan tool display B1D6E-SEAT HORIZONTAL POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE (G401) DRIVER SEAT HORIZONTAL POSITION SENSE VOLTAGE 
    1. Disconnect the Driver Horizontal Seat Adjuster Motor.
      NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
    2. With the scan tool erase DTC's
    3. Move the seat switch in the horizontal positions three times.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

      Does the same DTC reset?

      No 

      Yes
