Diagnostic Test

- VERIFY DTC IS ACTIVE NOTE: Diagnose all CAN B and C communication failures before continuing.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- Using a scan tool, read ACC DTCs.
Is the DTC active at this time?
Yes
- Go to step 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors, pay particulate attention the CAN circuits.
- Perform ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) - Standard Procedure .
- VERIFY ABS MODULE IS ACTIVE ON CAN C BUS
- Using a scan tool, select ECU View.
- Verify that the ABS Module is active on the bus.
Is the ABS Module active on the bus?
Yes
- Go to step 3
No
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Diagnosis and Testing .
- CHECK FOR ACTIVE OR STORED DTCs IN ABS MODULE
- Using a scan tool, read ABS Module DTCs.
Are any DTCs active or stored in the ABS Module?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Antilock Brake (ABS) - Diagnosis and Testing .
No
- Go to step 4
- Using a scan tool, read ABS Module DTCs.
- CHECK FOR ACTIVE OR STORED COMMUNICATION DTCs IN TIPM
- Using a scan tool, read TIPM DTCs.
Are any active of stored ABS Module Communication DTCs set in the TIPM?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Diagnosis and Testing .
No
- Replace and program the ACC Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL VERIFICATION TEST. See DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) - Standard Procedure .
- Using a scan tool, read TIPM DTCs.
