Fluid Check

- Raise and support vehicle.
- Clean the area around the transfer case plugs(2) and (3).NOTE: Inspect all the transfer case plug seals and replace as necessary.
- Remove the transfer case fill plug (3).
- Remove the transfer case drain plug (2) and allow the transfer case lubricant to drain into a suitable container.
- When the fluid has stopped draining, install the drain plug (2) and tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
- Using the fill hole (3), fill the transfer case with 1.0 L +/- 0.05 L (2.11pint +/- 0.11 pint) of fluid. Refer to Vehicle Quick Reference/Capacities and Recommended Fluids - Specifications .
- Install the fill plug (3) and tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs).
