Lower Intake Manifold

1 - UPPER RADIATOR CLOSURE PANELS

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Perform the fuel pressure release procedure. Refer to Fuel System/Fuel Delivery - Standard Procedure .
Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling - Standard Procedure .
Disconnect the upper radiator hose (2) from the thermostat housing.

Remove the upper intake manifold (1). See Engine/Manifolds/MANIFOLD, Intake - Removal .

3 - COOLANT RESERVOIR HOSE

Disconnect the heater hose (2) from the coolant pipe (1).

Disconnect the coolant container hose (3) from the coolant pipe (1).

4 - PCV VALVE

Disconnect the electrical connectors from the fuel injectors and the coolant temperature sensor.
Disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel rail (1). Refer to Fuel System/Fuel Delivery/FITTING, Quick Connect - Standard Procedure .
Remove the bolts attaching the fuel rail (1).
Remove the fuel rail and injectors as an assembly.

Remove the bolts attaching the lower intake manifold and remove the intake manifold (1).
