Lower Intake Manifold

1 - LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD

2 - GASKET

Clean all sealing surfaces.
Position new gaskets (2) and the intake manifold (1) on the cylinder heads.

Install the intake manifold bolts and gradually tighten in the sequence shown in illustration to 28 N.m (250 in. lbs.).

4 - PCV VALVE

Install the fuel rail and injectors as an assembly. Refer to Fuel System/Fuel Injection/INJECTOR(S), Fuel - Installation .
Connect the fuel supply hose to the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel System/Fuel Delivery/FITTING, Quick Connect - Standard Procedure .

Connect the electrical connectors to the fuel injectors and the coolant temperature sensor.

Connect the heater hose (2) to the coolant pipe (1).
Connect the coolant container hose (3) to the coolant pipe (1).

Install the upper intake manifold (1). See Engine/Manifolds/MANIFOLD, Intake - Installation .

Connect the upper radiator hose (2) to the thermostat housing.
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling - Standard Procedure .
Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).
