Right Exhaust Manifold

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Disconnect the upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the upper two nuts from the exhaust manifold heat shields.
- Raise and secure the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Vehicle Quick Reference/Hoisting - Standard Procedure .
- Use a socket such as Snap-On YA8875 or a crow foot wrench to remove the upstream oxygen sensor from the exhaust manifold.
- Support the engine and remove the engine mount. See Engine/Engine Mounting/INSULATOR, Engine Mount - Removal .
- Remove three bolts (1) and the engine mount bracket (2).
- Remove the catalytic converter ball flange nuts (1).
- Remove two bolts and the upper (4) and lower (3) exhaust manifold heat shields.
- Remove the exhaust manifold (2) and gasket (1).
