Exhaust Manifold

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Raise vehicle.

    3 - Studs
  3. For left hand manifold, remove exhaust pipe to manifold bolts.
  4. Remove engine mount to frame fasteners (3).

  5. For right hand manifold, remove exhaust pipe to manifold bolts.
  6. Remove engine mount to frame fasteners (4).
  7. Using suitable jack, raise engine enough to remove manifolds.
    CAUTION: Do not damage engine harness while raising the engine.
  8. Remove the engine mounts. See Engine/Engine Mounting/INSULATOR, Engine Mount - Removal .

  9. For the left side manifold, remove heat shield.
  10. Remove manifold bolts using sequence provided.
  11. Remove manifold and gasket.

  12. For the right side manifold, remove heat shield.
  13. Remove manifold bolts using sequence provided.
  14. Remove manifold and gasket.
