Exhaust Manifold

- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Raise vehicle.
1 - Bolt 2 - Hydromount 3 - Studs - For left hand manifold, remove exhaust pipe to manifold bolts.
- Remove engine mount to frame fasteners (3).
1 - Studs 2 - Nut 3 - Hydromount 4 - Studs - For right hand manifold, remove exhaust pipe to manifold bolts.
- Remove engine mount to frame fasteners (4).
- Using suitable jack, raise engine enough to remove manifolds.CAUTION: Do not damage engine harness while raising the engine.
- Remove the engine mounts. See Engine/Engine Mounting/INSULATOR, Engine Mount - Removal .
- For the left side manifold, remove heat shield.
- Remove manifold bolts using sequence provided.
- Remove manifold and gasket.
- For the right side manifold, remove heat shield.
- Remove manifold bolts using sequence provided.
- Remove manifold and gasket.
