Throttle Body: Installation: 6.1L

- Clean and check condition of throttle body-to-intake manifold o-ring (2).
- Clean mating surfaces of throttle body and intake manifold (1).
CAUTION: Do not use spray (carb) cleaners on any part of the throttle body. Do not apply silicone lubricants to any part of the throttle body.
- Install throttle body to intake manifold by positioning throttle body to manifold alignment pins.
- Install and tighten four mounting bolts (3). Refer to TORQUE Specifications.
- Install electrical connector (2). To lock connector, slide the red colored tab towards throttle body. Pull firmly on connector to verify a good lock.
- Install rubber air hose to throttle body.
- A Scan Tool may be used to learn electrical parameters. Go to the Miscellaneous menu, and then select ETC Relearn. If the relearn is not preformed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set. If necessary, use a scan tool to erase any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) from PCM.
