Diagnostic Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Dodge Charger and 2010 Chrysler 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
    3. Turn the ignition off and remove the key from the ignition.
    4. Close all doors and arm the VTSS and wait 2 minutes.
    5. Disarm the VTSS turn the ignition on.
    6. Turn the ignition on and with the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. INTRUSION SENSOR RECEIVER

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Intrusion Sensor Receiver connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on and with the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    4. Turn the ignition off and remove the key from the ignition.
    5. Close all doors and arm the VTSS and wait 2 minutes.
    6. Disarm the VTSS turn the ignition on.
    7. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  3
  3. CHECK THE (G460) INTRUSION RECEIVER SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition is off.
    2. Disconnect the Intrusion Transceiver Module connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (G460) Intrusion Receiver Sensor Signal circuit at the Intrusion Transceiver Module connector.

      Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
