Remote Start Inhibitors

  1. Using the scan tool, select ECU VIEW.
  2. Select the TIPM or FCM Service Information .
  3. Select MORE OPTIONS
  4. Select SYSTEM TESTS
  5. Select REMOTE START INHIBIT DATA.

The following table below is a list of possible causes for the inoperative Remote Start System. If any of the following conditions exist, the Remote Start System will not work. Use this information as a guide to the diagnosis of the Remote Start System. 

If all of the previous items checked OK, and the remote starting system will not operate, refer to theREMOTE START POOR PERFORMANCE  diagnostic procedure. See Non-DTC Diagnostics/Starting - Diagnosis and Testing .
