3.0L Diesel

- Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable (2) from battery post.
- Remove engine cover.
- Remove air cleaner housing and inlet tube to throttle body. Refer to Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal
- Remove turbocharger inlet tube.
- Remove intercooler tube resonator.
- Remove serpentine drive belt. Refer to Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Removal
- Siphon power steering fluid from pump reservoir. Place something below pump on belly pan to catch any fluid that spills during removal.
- Remove hose clamp (2), then supply hose (3) from pump (1).
- Unthread tube nut (2), then remove pressure hose from pump (1).
- Loosen, but do not remove, two pump mounting bolts (1) through access holes in pulley.
- Loosen, but do not remove, two mounting bolts (4) fastening front pump mounting bracket (1) to engine.
- Remove two previously loosened pump mounting bolts (1) and remove power steering pump (2) from engine.NOTE: The drive pulley is not serviced separately from the power steering pump.
