3.0L Diesel

Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable (2) from battery post.
Remove engine cover.
Remove air cleaner housing and inlet tube to throttle body. Refer to Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal

Remove turbocharger inlet tube.
Remove intercooler tube resonator.
Remove serpentine drive belt. Refer to Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Removal
Siphon power steering fluid from pump reservoir. Place something below pump on belly pan to catch any fluid that spills during removal.
Remove hose clamp (2), then supply hose (3) from pump (1).

Unthread tube nut (2), then remove pressure hose from pump (1).

Loosen, but do not remove, two pump mounting bolts (1) through access holes in pulley.

Loosen, but do not remove, two mounting bolts (4) fastening front pump mounting bracket (1) to engine.

Remove two previously loosened pump mounting bolts (1) and remove power steering pump (2) from engine.
NOTE: The drive pulley is not serviced separately from the power steering pump.
