The Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) features a driver-interactive display. The display is located in the upper part of the instrument cluster between the speedometer and tachometer. This system conveniently allows the driver to select a variety of useful information by pressing the switches mounted on the steering wheel. The EVIC displays information related to the following:

The EVIC system is comprised of several different components. Those components are:

The EVIC display is part of the Instrument Cluster assembly and is not serviced as a separate component. If the display is inoperative the complete Instrument Cluster assembly must be replaced. Refer to Electrical/Instrument Cluster - Removal . If the steering wheel switches are inoperative and require replacement. Refer to Electrical/Audio and Video/SWITCH, Remote Radio - Removal for the appropriate procedure. If the compass position sensor (Electronic Overhead Module) is inoperative and requires replacement. Refer to Electrical/Overhead Console - Removal for the appropriate procedure.
