3.0L Diesel

- Clean all sealing surfaces.
- Position and install the water pump. Tighten M6 bolts to 14 N.m (124 lbs. in.) and M8 bolts to 20 N.m (177 lbs. in.).
- Install the EGR valve. Refer to Emissions Control/Exhaust Gas Recirculation/VALVE, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) - Installation .
- Install the accessory drive belt. See Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Installation .
- Install the upper radiator hose.
- Install engine cover. Refer to Engine - Installation .
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Evacuate air and refill cooling system. See Cooling/Engine/PUMP, Water - Standard Procedure
- Check the cooling system for leaks, repair as necessary. See Cooling - Diagnosis and Testing .
