3.0L Diesel

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Remove the intake air tube (4). Refer to Engine/Air Intake System/AIR CLEANER - Removal
  4. Remove the charge air inlet hose from the mixing chamber (1).
  5. Remove the mixing chamber (1).

    CAUTION: Do not let tensioner arm snap back to the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the tensioner.
  6. Using a 12 point, 17mm socket and a long handle ratchet (3/8" drive), rotate accessory drive belt tensioner (5) counterclockwise until it contacts its stop.
  7. Remove accessory drive belt (3).
  8. Slowly rotate the belt tensioner (5) back into it's freearm position.
