Intake Manifold Upper

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the throttle body air inlet hose and air cleaner housing assembly (3). See Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal .
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor and the Electronic Throttle Control (ETC).
- Disconnect the vapor purge hose, brake booster hose and Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose.
- Remove the manifold support brackets (1).
- Remove the upper EGR tube from the intake manifold, and the upper EGR tube from the EGR valve.
- Remove the manifold attaching bolts.
- Remove the upper manifold (2).
- Remove the foam insulator (3).
