Diagnostic Test

  1. 1)  DTC IS ACTIVE 

    Turn the ignition on.

    With the scan tool, select view DTCs. Record all DTC and DTC Environmental data.

    With the scan tool, clear stored DTCs.

    Cycle the ignition switch off then on.

    Move the Adjustable Pedals Switch forward and rearward several times.

    With the scan tool, select view DTCs.

    Is the status active for this DTC? 

    Yes 

    1. Go To  2).

    No 

    1. Refer to the Adjustable Pedal System intermittent condition test. Refer to APS-INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
  2. 2)  ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH 

    Disconnect the Adjustable Pedals Switch harness connector.

    Wait approximately 10 seconds.

    With the scan tool, select view DTCs.

    Does the status remain active for this DTC? 

    Yes 

    1. Go To  3).

    No 

    1. Replace the Adjustable Pedals Switch in accordance with the Service Information.
    2. Perform APS VERIFICATION TEST .
  3. 3)  WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR/TERMINALS 

    Turn the ignition off.

    Disconnect the Memory Seat Module harness connector.

    Inspect the Adjustable Pedals Switch and Memory Seat Module wiring harness, connectors and terminals.

    Were any problems found? 

    Yes 

    1. Repair as necessary.
    2. Perform APS VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    1. Go To  4).
  4. 4)  (Q103) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH REARWARD CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    Measure the resistance between ground and the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit.

    Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms? 

    Yes 

    1. Repair the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit for a short to ground.
    2. Perform APS VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    1. Go To  5).
  5. 5)  (Q103) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH REARWARD CIRCUIT SHORT TO (Q101) ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT 

    Measure the resistance between the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit and the (Q101) Adjustable Pedals Switch Ground circuit.

    Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms? 

    Yes 

    1. Repair the (Q103) Adjustable Pedals Switch Rearward circuit for a short to the (Q101) Adjustable Pedals Switch Ground circuit.
    2. Perform APS VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    1. Replace the Memory Seat Module in accordance with the Service Information.
    2. Perform APS VERIFICATION TEST .
