- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Drain cooling system (Refer to COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Remove radiator fan assembly (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - REMOVAL) .
- Remove accessory drive belt (Refer to COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - REMOVAL)
- Remove thermostat (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/ENGINE COOLANT THERMOSTAT - REMOVAL) NOTE: The water pump mounting bolts (2) are different lengths. Note the location of the water pump mounting bolts (2).
- Remove water pump mounting bolts (2) and remove water pump (1).
