Pinion Seal

Using Installer 9677 (1), install new pinion flange seal. See Fig 1.

Using Installer L-4507 (1) , lightly tap pinion flange (2). See Fig 2onto shaft, just enough to start flange nut by hand.

Install pinion flange nut and torque to 475 N.m (350 ft. lbs.) (2). See Fig 3.
Install propeller shaft and heat shield. See INSTALLATION .
