Axle Seal - Left

NOTE: Inboard (Left) axle seal replacement requires removal and disassembly of the axle assembly.

Remove front axle assembly. See REMOVAL .
Drain axle lubricant by turning housing on its side and draining out of left output bore.
Remove differential cover (5) and differential (3). Remove and discard o-ring seal. See Fig 1.
Using Remover 9664 and Slide Hammer C-637, remove left axle seal.
