175MM FIA Front Axle Assembly

  1. Install front axle assembly (1) into position. Install and tighten axle housing-to-engine bolts to 65 N.m (48 ft. lbs.). See Fig 1.

  2. Install power steering return line to cradle by fastening clips (1).

  3. Install axle assembly support bracket (1) and torque bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.). See Fig 3.
  4. Install RH catalytic converter/exhaust pipe assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  5. Install front propeller shaft. See INSTALLATION .
  6. Install intermediate shaft. See INSTALLATION .
  7. Install both front halfshafts. See INSTALLATION .

  8. Fill axle with 600ml (0.64 qts.) of Mopar® 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Lubricant. Fluid level should be at or near bottom of fill hole. Torque fill plug (1) to 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.). See Fig 4.
  9. Lower vehicle.
