- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Drain cooling system. See STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove radiator fan assembly. See REMOVAL .
- Remove accessory drive belt. See REMOVAL .
- Remove thermostat. See REMOVAL . NOTE: The water pump mounting bolts (2) are different lengths. Note the location of the water pump mounting bolts (2).
- Remove water pump mounting bolts (2) and remove water pump (1).
