Pressure Hose - AWD

  1. Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable (2) from battery post.
  2. Siphon power steering fluid from pump reservoir.
  3. Remove air cleaner housing and inlet tube to throttle body. Refer to REMOVAL (ENGINE - 2.7L DOHC). Refer to REMOVAL (ENGINE - 3.5L). Refer to REMOVAL (ENGINE - 5.7L). Refer to REMOVAL (ENGINE - 6.1L).

  4. 3.5L Engine - Unthread tube nut, then remove pressure hose (2) from pump (1).

  5. 5.7L/6.1L Engine - Unthread tube nut, then remove pressure hose (2) from pump (1).
  6. Raise and support vehicle. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  7. Remove belly pan. Refer to REMOVAL .

  8. Remove screw fastening pressure hose routing clamp (1) to front of engine cradle (2).
  9. Remove screw fastening pressure hose routing clamp to left side of engine cradle.

  10. Unthread return hose tube nut (1), then remove return hose from steering gear (2).
  11. Unthread pressure hose tube nut (3), then remove pressure hose from steering gear (2) and vehicle.
