Pressure Hose - RHD

- Install pressure hose in engine compartment from underneath.NOTE: Always use a NEW O-ring on the end of the pressure hose.
- Lubricate NEW O-ring on steering gear end of pressure hose with clean power steering fluid.
- Install gear end of pressure hose (5) into steering gear port. Do not tighten tube nut at this time.
- Route pressure hose along left side of engine cradle. Position pressure hose routing clamp, then install screw (7) through clamp, securing hose to left side of engine cradle.
- Route pressure hose along front of engine cradle. Install screw (2) through routing clamp securing hose to front of engine cradle.
- Tighten pressure hose tube nut (5) at steering gear to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
- Install belly pan. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Lower vehicle.NOTE: Always use a NEW O-ring on the end of the pressure hose.
- Lubricate NEW O-ring on power steering pump end of pressure hose with clean power steering fluid.
- 2.7L/3.5L Engines - Install pressure hose (2) to pump (1). Tighten pressure hose tube nut to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
- 5.7L/6.1L Engines - Install pressure hose (2) to pump (1). Tighten pressure hose tube nut to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
- 3.0L Diesel Engine - Install pressure hose (2) to pump (1). Tighten pressure hose tube nut to 47 N.m (35 ft. lbs.).
- Install air cleaner housing and inlet tube. Refer to INSTALLATION (ENGINE - 2.7L DOHC). Refer to INSTALLATION (ENGINE - 3.5L). Refer to INSTALLATION (ENGINE - 5.7L). Refer to INSTALLATION (ENGINE - 6.1L).
- Connect battery negative cable (2) to battery post. It is important that this is performed properly. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Fill and bleed power steering system. See STANDARD PROCEDURE .
