WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Dodge Magnum, 2008 Dodge Charger, and 2008 Chrysler 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.
NOTE:
ATC A/C-heater controls are NOT interchangeable between other model years or other vehicle lines. If replacement of the A/C-heater control is required, only use the control designed for the vehicle being serviced.
NOTE:
Take the proper precautions to protect the front face of the instrument panel center bezel from cosmetic damage during this service procedure.

- Remove the center bezel (1) from the instrument panel (2), disconnect the wire harness connector(s) (3) from the A/C-heater control (4) and place the center bezel on a workbench. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the four screws (1) that secure the A/C-heater control (2) to the instrument panel center bezel (3).
