Gearshift Cable

1 - SHIFTER KNOB

2 - SET SCREW

Loosen set screw (2) and remove knob (1) from shifter handle. See Fig 1.

1 - CENTER CONSOLE
Remove the center console assembly (1). See Fig 2.

Remove shifter bezel (1). See Fig 3.

2 - GROMMET PLATE NUT

3 - SHIFT CABLE

Disconnect shift cable (3) from shifter mechanism (1). See Fig 4.
Remove three grommet plate to floor pan nuts as shown in.

1 - AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
Remove air cleaner assembly (1). See Fig 5.

1 - BATTERY
Disconnect both battery cables, remove battery hold down clamp and bolt, and remove battery (1). See Fig 6.

Remove battery tray (1) from bracket. See Fig 7.

1 - SHIFT LEVER

2 - SHIFT CABLE
Disconnect shifter cable (2) from shift lever (1) and remove from bracket. See Fig 8.
Raise vehicle on hoist.

1 - CONVERTER HEAT SHIELD
Remove catalytic converter heat shield (1). See Fig 9.

Remove remaining grommet plate (1) screw and remove cable assembly (2) from vehicle. See Fig 10.
