Brake/Transmission Shift Interlock System: Adjustment

- Loosen set screw (2) and remove knob (1) from shifter handle. See Fig 1.
1 - CENTER CONSOLE - Remove the center console assembly (1). See Fig 2.
1 - BEZEL 2 - SCREW (4) - Remove shifter bezel (1). See Fig 3.
- Adjust interlock cable/system as follows: Pry up on cable adjuster lock to release and allow cable to "self-adjust". Lock cable adjustment by pressing down on the adjuster lock until bottomed at the cable housing.
- Verify correct system operation. Refer to the appropriate verification procedure.
- Install shifter bezel (1).
1 - CENTER CONSOLE - Install center console assembly (1). See Fig 4.
1 - SHIFTER KNOB 2 - SET SCREW - Install gearshift knob (1) and tighten set screw (2) to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.) torque. See Fig 5.
