Fuel Rail - 1.6L

- Apply a light coating of clean engine oil to the upper O-ring.
- Install injector into cup of fuel rail.
- Install retaining clip and check to ensure injector is properly captured.
- Apply a light coating of clean engine oil to the O-ring on the nozzle end of each injector.
- Insert fuel injector nozzles into openings in lower intake manifold. Seat the injectors in place. Tighten fuel rail mounting bolts to 22.5 N.m ± 3 N.m (200±30 in. lbs.).
1 - FUEL INJECTOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR 2 - WIRING HARNESS - Attach electrical connectors to fuel injectors, go to the fuel injector connector for electrical connector installation.
- Connect fuel supply tube to fuel rail. See STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Install the wiring harness to the fuel rail brackets.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Use the scan tool ASD Fuel System Test to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks.
- Install air cleaner assembly cover.
