Fog Lamp Unit Alignment

Prepare an alignment screen. See STANDARD PROCEDURE . and read the Alignment Screen Preparation paragraph. Turn on the headlamp switch to the parking lamps only position and actuate the fog lamp switch. A properly aligned fog lamp will project a pattern on the alignment screen with the top of the cut-off line 10 cm (4 in.) below the fog lamp center line and straight ahead with the vehicle 25 feet from the alignment screen.

1 - CENTER LINE OF FOG LAMPS 5 - FOG LAMP HOT SPOT
2 - CENTER LINE OF VEHICLE 6 - FRONT OF FOG LAMP
3 - FLOOR TO CENTER OF FOG LAMP 7 - 7.62 METERS (25 FT.)
4 - 10cm (4 IN.)

To adjust fog lamp unit, rotate the adjustment screw (1) in the rear of the fog lamp unit to achieve the specified pattern position. It will be necessary to remove the lower splash shield to do this. Refer to REMOVAL .
