Section 17 (5.7L Engine (Service Information)): Damper-Crankshaft: Removal

- Disconnect negative cable from battery.
- Remove accessory drive belt (Refer to COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - REMOVAL) .
- Drain cooling system (Refer to COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Remove radiator upper hose.
- Remove fan shroud (Refer to COOLING/ENGINE/RADIATOR FAN - REMOVAL) .
- Remove crankshaft damper bolt.
1 - Special Tool 1023 Puller 2 - Special Tool 8513A Insert - Remove damper using Special Tools 8513A Insert and 1023 Three Jaw Puller.
