Pump - Oil: Removal

1 - OIL PUMP
2 - GASKET
  1. Drain the cooling system. (Refer to COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
  2. Remove the timing belt. (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - REMOVAL) .
  3. Remove the crankshaft sprocket. (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - REMOVAL) .
  4. Remove the oil pan. (Refer to ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL PAN - REMOVAL) .

    1 - OIL PICK UP TUBE WITH STRAINER
    2 - BOLT
    3 - O-RING
    4 - OIL PUMP
    5 - WINDAGE TRAY
  5. Remove the oil pickup tube. See Fig 2.

    1 - CRANKSHAFT
    2 - DOWEL
    3 - GASKET
    4 - OIL PUMP
    5 - FRONT CRANKSHAFT SEAL
    6 - CRANKSHAFT GEAR
    7 - PIN
  6. Remove the oil pump fasteners. Remove the oil pump and gasket from engine. See Fig 3.
