Pump - Oil: Removal

1 - OIL PUMP

2 - GASKET

Drain the cooling system. (Refer to COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
Remove the timing belt. (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - REMOVAL) .
Remove the crankshaft sprocket. (Refer to ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT/CHAIN AND SPROCKETS - REMOVAL) .

Remove the oil pan. (Refer to ENGINE/LUBRICATION/OIL PAN - REMOVAL) .

1 - OIL PICK UP TUBE WITH STRAINER

2 - BOLT

3 - O-RING

4 - OIL PUMP

5 - WINDAGE TRAY

Remove the oil pickup tube. See Fig 2.

5 - FRONT CRANKSHAFT SEAL

Remove the oil pump fasteners. Remove the oil pump and gasket from engine. See Fig 3.
