Section 16 (3.5L Engine (Service Information)): Camshaft(S): Installation: Installation

1 - SPARK PLUG TUBE

2 - ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY

3 - CAMSHAFT

4 - SEAL

NOTE: Care must be taken not to scrape or nick the camshaft journals when installing the camshaft into position.

Lubricate camshaft (3) bearing journals, camshaft lobes and camshaft seal (4) with clean engine oil and install camshaft (3) into cylinder head. See Fig 1.
Install the cylinder head. (Refer to ENGINE/CYLINDER HEAD - INSTALLATION) .
