Removal-2.2L Diesel

NOTE:
Inspect condition of all clamps and hoses, replace as necessary.
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Remove engine cover.
- Drain engine coolant below thermostat level using draincock only. See STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect coolant temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Remove coolant hoses and by-pass (1) hose from thermostat housing. See Fig 1.
- Loosen accessory drive belt and reposition generator. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove thermostat housing and O-ring.
- Clean all sealing surfaces.
