Thermostat-Engine Coolant: Installation: Installation-2.0/2.4L

1 - LOCATOR NOTCH

2 - AIR BLEED

Place the new thermostat assembly into the coolant outlet connector, aligning air bleed (2) with the location notch on outlet connector.

4 - THERMOSTAT HOUSING

Install coolant outlet connector with thermostat in position onto thermostat housing (4). Tighten bolts to 12.5 N.m (110 in. lbs.).
Turbocharger equipped vehicles:
1. Attach A/C suction line support bracket to A/C suction line.
2. Install fastener securing A/C suction line support bracket to coolant outlet connector.
Connect upper radiator hose.
Connect the coolant recovery system hose.
Install upper intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD-INTAKE .
Fill cooling system, refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
